Olympic Heritage Gala

- The percentage of Olympians living in our small community is extremely high. And the Who’s Who of those local Olympians with Olympians from the 1960 Olympic games in Squaw Valley were gathered under one roof Jan. 16 for the Olympic Legends Gala, an elegant evening culminating a 10-day celebration of our area’s Olympic heritage. The evening also served as a fundraiser for the Squaw Valley Ski Museum Foundation to support the dream of a world class museum celebrating the history and future of winter sports in the Sierra Nevada.
